General Information for Faculty

Faculty gowns, caps, tassels, and UC Ph.D. faculty hoods are available at no cost for commencement ceremonies. They should be requested by the specified deadline for each commencement (see PPM 200, Sec. 6 - Academic and Administrative Deadlines for dates). Please refer to the Bookstore Faculty Rentals if you require information regarding non-UC faculty hoods.

Pick-up/delivery

Faculty rentals can be picked up from "will-call" at the Central Storehouse, or delivered to the department for a nominal charge.

Returns

It is the responsibility of each individual to return his or her gown, cap, hood and tassel to the Special Events room adjacent to the commencement ceremony area.
